Munro Ltd.
Our history begins in 1957 when the PreCast Tank and Vault Company was founded by J.W. Munro in North Bay, Ontario, Canada. The company provided precast products for the local market.
In 1989, land was acquired in Essa Township and a new manufacturing facility was built in Utopia, Ontario—west of Barrie and about 70 km north of the Greater Toronto Area, a major growth area in Canada.
Since then, the company has continually expanded, adding new products and entering new markets. In 2012, we completed our fifth plant expansion. Today we are the largest manufacturing facility for infrastructure products in Canada.
